If you have the app on your phone, tablet or PC, you already have Poro. The app listed on Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store asExam Countdown & Study Planner is the same product, from the same developer, with the same 50,000+ students using it. Poro is the name; exam countdown and study planner is what it does.
You will see the new name appear gradually — here on the website first, then inside the app, and in the store listings last. Nothing breaks along the way, because nothing about the app itself is changing.

Why Poro?
A name that describes itself is useful right up until people start talking about it. Exam Countdown & Study Planner is five words long, awkward to say out loud, and almost impossible to pass on to a classmate without spelling it. That is worth fixing, because most students arrive here through someone who recommended the app to them.
Poro is two syllables, reads the same in most languages, and is not already owned by a major brand — so it can become genuinely ours. It is a name you can say once and have someone remember.
What we are not doing is throwing the old name away. The wordsexam countdown and study planner are how students search for an app like this, and they stay attached to the brand — in the store listings, in the page titles, and right under the logo. The goal is to add a name, not swap one out.

Is Poro the same app as Exam Countdown & Study Planner?
Yes. Poro is simply the name we now use for the app published on Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store as Exam Countdown & Study Planner. There is one app, one codebase and one team — only the name on the front of it is changing.
Do I need to reinstall the app or create a new account?
No. Nothing needs to be reinstalled, re-downloaded or re-created. Your exams, subjects, chapters, notes, streaks and study history all stay exactly where they are, and your existing account keeps working.
Why is the app being renamed to Poro?
Exam Countdown & Study Planner describes what the app does, but it is a mouthful to say out loud and hard to pass on to a friend. Poro is short, easy to say in any language, and is not already taken by a major brand — so it can become a name students actually use when they talk about the app.
Will the app still be called Exam Countdown & Study Planner in the app stores?
Yes. The store listings keep the words exam countdown and study planner, because that is how most students find the app in the first place. Over time the listings will read Poro: Exam Countdown & Study Planner, so the brand and the description sit side by side rather than one replacing the other.
Does my premium subscription still work?
Yes. Your subscription, cloud sync and every premium feature are unaffected. The app itself is not changing — only the name it goes by — so there is nothing to restore or repurchase.
